trying to create a stable of superheroes, say hello to the particularly non-conformist speedster, Billy Garcia. I made her in response to the 'sexism is over' style women in comics. I've taken a real shine to her! I might post her bio later.
Sharpie and Micron
Billie Garcia is a speedster type hero in New York who has control over her own acceleration, her powers granted with a freak accident involving a rip in spacetime and a small particle accelerator. What does this mean? Without skates, she'll just sort of scud along the ground, but on wheels, she can perform amazing feats of acrobatics and speed. She's not so much concerned with actually being called a superhero, she's more in the mindset of doing the right thing, period. She's very much making things up as she goes along. Unfortunately, her unconventional shape, for a superheroine, has gained her the unwanted nickname of 'Thunderthighs'. Her attitude really doesn't let her dwell on trivial matters like that, though.
I fell in love with your cheater design right away. Love the attitude she expresses and her everyday woman hero outfit. Her powers too, works well with her body type and is believable. And last but not least, all the reddish orange! Way neat color and not often enough used!
Wish she won one of the two polls she was in, but in the end she still is a winner to me! Thank you for joining in this contest. I have had so much fun and it means a lot to me. You design is wonderful and I am thrilled to have gotten to see her
I think this one takes the cake for this round! Reasons?
She's 'fluffy' in a way that's not overly 'curvy in all the right places', like Valkyrita. She's an ordinary girl, doing the right thing, with powers given to her by a freak accident. You can tell she's got weaknesses (just take away her skates and she can't really do much, except maybe throw a killer punch if you get to close), but she's also got strengths that are relatable and easy to fall in love with.
Thanks a lot for all the kind words! If you'll visit my gallery, there are more pictures of her, and a script I just posted that I wrote about her for a class.
Great that you say this, I actually just posted a script for a short movie about Billie that I wrote for one of my class! Give it a look, it's in the most recent postings.
This is a really good modern style, with a superhera who carries her mass near the center. Bonus points for a fat speedster (the only other one I've seen is in my own story) and for the full-body costume.
Thanks for the kind words! I've been doing more and more with her lately, and it only just occurred to me to post a script I wrote for one of my classes starring her. It's not exactly what I'd call canon, since it has to work as a standalone story, but, hey, it exists!

Great job! I love her character design a lot!
I love how she kinda looks like a roller derby girl witch makes her that much more epic
Great job
